To enter the national parks, you need to buy tickets in advance from the website SINAC.

You can consider two companies for SIM cards: Kolbi or Claro. Kolbi is said to have stronger signals. Don't forget to bring your passport with you to activate the SIM card. Ask for activation at the shop.

Carry a copy of your passport instead of the original. Don’t drink tap water in remote areas (it’s generally safe in cities). Bring a rain jacket even in the dry season—weather can change fast. Use Waze or Google Maps for navigation—some roads are tricky.

Smoking is banned in indoor public spaces, parks, and bus stops. Some designated smoking areas exist, but the law is strict. Drinking alcohol in public areas like streets and beaches is generally prohibited, though enforcement varies.
